Name: Sun | Moon
Age: Unknown. In this combined body, they appear to be late 20s. Their cumulative age across worlds is so large that both have forgotten the exact number, but can safely say that it's above 1000 (inclusive of reincarnations that they don't remember anymore).
Gender: Female | Male respectively
World History:
Sun and Moon are two people/spirits who are cursed to endlessly reincarnate between worlds and timelines. In each world, they will inhabit two native vessels, whether human or otherwise. They will go about their lives without any knowledge of what happens, but each will feel a compulsion to seek out someone who 'completes' them. Once they meet, they will die. This has played out in a variety of ways, either they reincarnate as enemies and kill each other, or as friends and die in an accident, etc. When the time for their death approaches, they may remember their past lives, thus coming to the realization that this is not the first time. This either destroys their sanity, or they make active attempts to escape it, but to no avail. As soon as one of the two dies, the other will also die and they reincarnate into a new realm.
It has gone on for as long as they can remember, with their first few lives forgotten due to the sheer number of worlds they have been in. They do not know who created them, if that person also gave them their curse, or if the curse came from somewhere else. They only know that they have each other, and thus their relationship is very close if they have regained their full memories.
At some point in their shared history, they come into a world where magic dabbling in the spiritual is heavily relied on. Using the native magic, the two of them signed a pact to bind themselves into a single homonculus body, thus temporarily annulling their curse. One of the two will occupy their body at any given point in time, and they can switch out as agreed between each other. The 'reserve' person will still be able to communicate with the dominant person as a voice in their head. Since they are now in the same body, they will never be able to see or touch each other again; but this is a small price to pay for breaking the cycle of death and rebirth.
As the time of their destined death draws closer, they will hear a sort of ‘song’ in their minds, which slowly drives them insane in a Lovecraftian manner and whisper to kill everything around them. However, they no longer hear it after fusing together, which they believe is a sign that their curse has been stalled.
They do not need to sleep nor eat, but can do so if they want the experience. There is a large magical sigil tattooed onto their chest as a mark of their pact. Their body is androgynous in frame, with a flat chest. Sun presents as a woman with long blonde hair and red eyes, while Moon presents as a man with short dark grey/black hair and unnaturally light blue eyes. The difference in their gender is further reflected in the pitch of their voice and how they hold themselves rather than the presence of boobs or other body parts.
As per mod advise, they will come into the game with a fixed form. Their hair/eye will default to Moon’s appearance.

Personality:
While Sun and Moon have distinct differences, there are a couple of traits that they share due to having lived together for such a long time.
Their curse ends up destroying every life that they build for themselves, so both have a rather transient view on life and death. While they will not recklessly rush into danger, they simply do not hold survival to be very important. Should they die (and both agree to die), they will simply reincarnate into another life, so using leverage of being separated will not work on them - especially so since they are now in the same body. While they are a bit more hopeful in surviving in this life, they are still more likely to volunteer for dangerous but necessary tasks as they know they will not die permanently.
As both of them share a strong bond, they are each other's best friends and thus are not very enthusiastic about meeting new people. While they will interact with others (Sun more than Moon), they keep their secrets to themselves and do not talk about their repeated deaths as much as possible. It is easy to be their acquaintance, but difficult for them to open up to someone - if they have serious issues, they would usually discuss amongst themselves. They also need time to come to important decisions, as both have to agree on it first.
It is also important to note that both of them, while civil, are not necessarily benevolent. Moon is less so than Sun, but they do have a certain level of selfishness. People can matter to them, but their biggest priority will always be each other. This is the first time they've been able to evade their curse, and they intend to enjoy it. If other people have problems with that, then too bad. They are keen to defend themselves and work towards what they want, because the years and years of reliving death have numbed them to guilt and the finer details of morality.
They are capable of caring for others, though; especially towards people who bear a similar affliction to them. They despise the idea of a 'pre-written fate' and not being able to change one's circumstance, and look down on people who are passive towards what had befallen them. Conversely, agents which try to enforce an unwanted destiny will be met with fierce resistance, and may even lead to murder.
After living for so many lives, they are also very resilient. They can easily adapt to any new situation and do not fear change, having accepted it as an inevitable thing. They have the knowledge of their past lives in their memory, thus they are familiar with the concepts of a wide variety of skills. However, their current body only retains the ‘muscle memory’ of skills from their last world. Kind of like having read a book on how to drive a car, but without any experience. It's a benefit that only extends to theory and not practice. Tangentially, it also means that they are not easily fazed by strange occurrences, as they probably have seen something related before.
Now that they need not fear impending death, their main motivation would be to explore whatever world they find themselves in and enjoy what it has to offer. It should also be noted that both of them do not have much of restraint by way of killing, if it is justified and they feel it appropriate to do so. They are not bloodthirsty, but do not have the standard inhibition against it.
Sun
She has a bright, enthusiastic personality, and is naturally curious about the world around her. Thus she often explores or interacts with people to expand her knowledge of the world around her. As contrasted to Moon, she is bold and not afraid of expressing her emotions, whether positive or negative. If she enjoys something, she'll be smiling and cheering, but if she's upset or angry, she will probably seek out the target of her ire and exact some sort of harm on them. She has quite the temper and impulsivity, but it’s largely kept in check by Moon’s calming influence. Before they combined together, he sometimes has to physically restrain her from following her instincts.
With all her vivacity, she also has a great deal of self-confidence and doesn’t seem to consider that she can possibly be wrong. This is usually not a problem as her moral compass is generally straight, but also means that she has a hard time apologizing, leaving Moon to do the work for her. It is difficult to get her to change her mind without Moon’s input, so it’s easier to just reason with him instead. If she wants something and cannot buy it somewhere, she will then devote her attention completely to making one with her own hands. Again, if you aren't Moon, it is almost impossible to distract her from her personal schedules and plans. However, her interest can change quite rapidly, so she sometimes abandons projects before they are complete.
With regards to more mundane things, she has simple tastes and enjoys harmless pleasures such as candy and cute things. Good thing a homunculus body doesn't put on weight.
Moon
He has a calmer, more logical personality. His manner is usually serious and formal, and he does not show a lot of emotion, especially positive ones. As a result his poker face is hard to read, unless he is expressing disapproval. He is particularly tired of people who are lazy and sloppy, perceiving them as inelegant and disgusting. The only thing he seems to freely express is his ire for things that get on his nerves, though it's actually mostly harmless complaining. He keeps the identity of things that truly bother him to himself. Using his adherence to logic, he can push through stressful times without losing his focus.
Because of what they have gone through, he has an unhealthy attachment to Sun. She puts up with his caustic manner, and trusts him to make objective decisions for her. They understand each other perfectly, so he thinks very highly of her and can border on yandere levels of protectiveness. This is lessened somewhat after they combined together, but it has been a reason for his murders in the past. He takes care of the things she forgets about when she becomes absorbed in her work, which can range from other chores to eating and sleeping. In a way, he has a house-husband streak.
Contrasting with Sun, he prefers things that are usually considered as elegant and high-class, such as fine clothes and interior design. This can be expensive, but he's willing to work so that he can afford these in his life. As an inherited trait from his latest reincarnation, he also has a good ear for classical music.
